Here is our amazing team for the 2023-2024 academic year!

Marianne Bou Rjeily (Class of 2024)

Marianne is MedComm’s president. She speaks English, French and Arabic. Her hobbies are cooking, dancing and acrobatics.

Jun Yang Liu (Class of 2023)

Jun speaks English, French and Mandarin.

Darya Naumova (Class of 2022)

Darya Naumova speaks Ukrainian, Russian, English and French.

Jenny Wang (Class of 2025)

Jenny Wang is the vice-president. She speaks English, French, Spanish, Mandarin and Shanghainese. Through MedComm, Jenny hopes to ensure all patients have access to the health services they need, regardless of the language they speak. She is proud to have helped with the conception of the website, hoping it has made MedComm a more accessible and useful tool!

Thalia Nguyen (Class of 2024)

Thalia is the VP Internal. She speaks French and English. She is very proud to have contributed to the creation of the workshops on How to Interact with an Interpreter and hopes for them to become widely used in the future.

Elie Fadel (Class of 2026)

Elie is the VP Communications. He speaks French, English, German and Spanish. Living in multiple countries has given him the privilege to be able to communicate effectively with people from very diverse backgrounds.

Farida Elmalt (Class of 2024)

Farida is the VP Communications. She speaks English, French, German and Arabic.

Shihan Chen (Class of 2024)

Shihan is the VP Research. She speaks English and Mandarin. We are currently working on a systematic scoping review exploring the role of medical students as Interpreters in healthcare centers. Can’t wait to see the results!
